# Overview

DipCoin Vaults are a native feature of the DipCoin Perpetual (Perp) trading system, designed to allow users to participate in professional trading strategies without manually managing positions.

By depositing funds into a Vault, users gain share-based exposure to real-market trading executed by a strategy, and participate proportionally in the Vault’s overall profit or loss.

Vault strategies operate at the trading account level, using the same core capabilities as standard DipCoin Perp accounts, including:

* Position management
* Margin usage
* Order placement
* Liquidation mechanisms

A Vault is not a passive rebalancing pool. It is a strategy container that trades directly in live perpetual markets.

### Key Characteristics

* Any user may deposit **USDC** into a Vault
* Profits and losses are distributed based on Vault shares
* Vault creators may earn management rewards via a Profit Share ratio
* Fee rules for official Vaults are determined by the protocol
* All Vault strategies involve risk; users should evaluate performance, structure, and risk before depositing

### Lock-Up Period

Vaults enforce a deposit lock-up mechanism to ensure strategy stability.

* The lock-up period is 24 hours
* Redemptions can only be initiated after 24 hours from the most recent deposit
* If an additional deposit is made during the lock-up period, the lock-up timer resets based on the latest deposit time
